Abstrakte Malerei trifft auf Figuration, auf Sprache, Objekte und Installation. Persönliche Erfahrungen fließen ebenso ein wie popkulturelle und politische Themen. Aus der großen Spannbreite der Arbeiten erschließen sich verbindende Elemente. Im gemeinsamen Raum fügen sie sich zusammen.

How do you know something is real? Is it something absolute. Fotograms are consequence of lighting of real objects and space in a real time. However the reality evades us through their projections which are the result of light and shadow caught in medium. The »new reality« subjected to the different rules is being established. 

Meta Hrovat presents her works which are the result of the illumination of reality, but their appearance demands much more from the viewer...

Edition: is hosting its very first festival.

Edition: gathered a set of interdisciplinary artists to participate in mini residencies, encouraging them to collaborate.

Each residency finishes with a one-night-only show.

Artists move in for 3-5 days, work, create, rearrange, and hand over the Edition: to the next team.

“The Contraband Collection” brings together Argentinian and Austrian artists to create a collective body of work(s). The method of digitalization is used to disconnect the essence of the artwork from its original body, it’s materiality. For a short period of time it is amorph, it is nothing but the potential to be everything. The method allows us to transfer content in an almost invisible way, which can be associated with smuggling. The Contraband Collection gives us the possibility to find a common language, avoiding the bureaucratic obstacles that impede the free circulation of art.

Präsentation neuer Arbeiten.

Am Boden, an Wänden, als Decken - öffnen sie Welten und saugen sie ein. In Räumen gehalten, bringen sie das Draußen nach Innen. Die Pflanze als natürliche Arabeske trifft auf ihre Darstellung im Teppich. Ornament fällt in Ornament. Grenzen, Flächen, Formen lösen sich auf, der Raum verliert die Räumlichkeit, der Mensch darin verliert die Zeit.

Einen Abend lang zeigt die EDITION: in ihren Räumen am 6. Februar Costanza Brandizzis Präsentation und Auswahl an Arbeiten, unter dem Titel NOIA. „NOIA“ aus dem Italienischen bedeutet „Langeweile“ oder im Sinne von „TEDIO“ ein anderes italienisches Wort „Überdruss“: Das Gefühl der Abneigung gegen etwas, von dem man glaubt, man habe es zu oft erlebt oder sich zu viel mit einer Sache beschäftigt. Im Italienischen auch beschrieben als ein Zustand der Müdigkeit oder Unbefriedigtheit.
